Distracted

by Marinka on March 8, 2012

I’ve been very distracted lately, reading The Hunger Games, which I love, and not reading The Orphan Master’s Son, which I don’t love but like as a friend and which my book group is discussing next week.

But that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been writing!

Just this week, for example, I’m over at The Mouthy Housewives giving advice on what to do when your friend dates losers.

And I’m over A Million Moms Challenge, talking about how having children changes your outlook on International Women’s Day.

And since it’s Thursday, I’m also at MamaPop, discussing the rags and all sorts of celebrity gossip.

I loved Hunger Games.

Now I think I’ll head over to celebrity gossip.

I have missed your celebrity gossip.

That is my vice.

If my husband only understood and appreciated how much restraint and self talk and encouragement it takes for me not to come home with 50 dollars worth of those magazines when I go to the grocery store.

Those things are my Satan.

All that to say, CELEBRITY GOSSIP? OH GOODY!!

I loved The Hunger Games. I do hope they’ve done a good job of the movie.
It’s the first book in a long time that I’ve thought…Where’s the next one?
It turns out the teen already had all 3 books and was holding out on me. Geez…

During a quiet self indulgent birthday week recently I read my way through all 3 books.
I wasn’t as keen on the last book in the series but it was a nice change from vampires, and wizards (…and celebrity gossip)

I have never loved my Nook more. I started on Friday night and read all three books in one weekend. That’s what I call a good time!
