Gloves

by Marinka on February 13, 2011

I have no energy to write another award winning post at this stage, so let me just break this down in the EZ to read format.

Winter Starts.

Marinka buys family gloves.

Stupid kids lose stupid gloves.

Marinka gives her last pair of gloves to kids.

Marinka refuses to buy more gloves.

Marinka thinks “surely winter is almost over.”

Marinka is moron.

Worst winter in forever. With specially coined terms like
Snowpocalypse, Snowmaggedon and Snowprah Winfrey.
People complain about the weather. People are cold. People are snowed in. School is canceled. People are desperate.

This is all Marinka’s fault. If she got gloves, winter would be over.

Miracle.

Marinka finds an old pair of gloves.

The next day, the temperatures are in the high 30s, the highest it’s been in months.

There is celebration.

Until 4 pm.

Because that’s when Marinka picks up Young Ladrinka from school and he tells her that he lost his gloves.

Sorry.

You should see the crazy advertisements in the google ads in my reader for “battery powered gloves.”

I used to loathe the groundhog. Now I’m really focusing my winter bitterness on you and Ladrinka.

Tomorrow will be 50 degrees in NY, and I bet all those lost gloves will appear on your doorstep. Kinda creepy.

I knew there was a reason behind this madness.

I bought a pair of $10 gloves.
Lost them the next day.
Found them the day after that.
Bought a string to put through my coat like a preschooler.
I’m keeping these suckers.
$10 is $10, right?

I blame you, Rinka clan. I blame you and I vote. And I have a death stare that can reach New York City.

Surely you’ve learned your lesson. You can’t possibly be THAT foolish. Or can you……

Hahaha…so instead of Murphys Law there’s now Marinkas Law! I love it…I never have gloves. It was awesome here yesterday. We barely need gloves…

Great post!
