Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day, Papa!

As I tell you every year, you’ve been like a father to me.

You’ve always supported me.  Always. And not just financially (although I’m not knocking that, either! Keep it coming!)

In 6th grade when I was struggling with math (where struggling = failing), you didn’t lecture me, yell at me or make me feel worse.  You got me a tutor and then told me that I should just cut school one day and we’ll go to the movies.

When I related arguments that I had, you always took my side and made me laugh.

You don’t like blogs, but you read mine and you comment on it (guess who’s Awesome Dude) and you tell me that you like it.

You drop everything to come when I call and ask you to babysit and instead of being annoyed, you tell me that it’s a pleasure and there’s nothing that you’d rather do more.

Thank you for everything.  Vek ne zabudu. I love you.

(That means that “I won’t forget it for a century”.)

I really enjoy your blog! You have inspired me to honor my dad on my blog. I can always count on him to howl at everything I say & cackle at everything that I write. Did I mention he’s a deaf werewolf? Still, I appreciate him! Thanks for the idea!

But will the ignorant and idiotic chain-yankers see THIS post? No, they will only read the one about how you give him a hard time for debating about whether or not to come over because you are cooking fish and then call you a thankless heartless daughter. See, now look what you made me do. I want to go kick their asses all over again.

What a sweet note to your dad. I’m thankful my dad encouraged me to play sports–his greatest gift (and the algebra thing too).

Lovely, Marinka. We thank “Awesome Dude” for having you! (although I suspect Mama did most of the “having” work).
