How They Spoil Me

by Marinka on July 10, 2008

Offline comments that I received from my nearest and dearest about this blog:

“I don’t need to read more, I pretty much know how you think.” -Papa

“I wish you’d never given me the link, now it’s just another thing that I have to feel guilty about not reading.”-Ruby

“I’ll read it as soon as I get back to the mainland.” -Son’s godfather, gifter of the 500 piece Pokemon jigsaw puzzle, via email from the Seychelles Islands (yes, I realize that does not qualify as off-line, but did you really think that I was not going to work in a Seychelles Islands reference into this post?)

“What if you become addicted to this computer business?” -Mama. Luddite.

“I didn’t have a chance to read it this week, what was it about?” -Manella.

“The layout is clean, but it reads like you’re trying too hard.”–Colin Farrell’s twin. Fraternal.

LMAO – My parents wouldn’t “look” at blogs. My mom “We decided we aren’t going to read blogs (as if they are as bad as reading Playboy Magazine tone of voice)

My husband isn’t into blogging either, but maybe after I told him about the engagement blog he will…. (sigh) doubt it.

Well, I like your blog.

Hope you have a great day.

I completely regret telling my parental units about my blog. It’s seriously curtailing my potty mouth.

Thanks, WFB! I like your parents’ decision to avoid AllThingsBlog.

Alice, is there a way that you could “untell” your parents about your blog? Unfortunately, this may involve time travel. My parents don’t mind trash talking, fortunately.

Thanks for the visit! I hide under my semi-anonymousness. Luckily, my parents are pretty much limited in their computer knowledge to how to check their email.

BTW – I FF all things Sonny too! It’s sad because I used to be a fan. Then with Emily = FF City. I was just coming back to being a fan, but his latest tirade that Carly is just trying to get revenge and how all of a sudden Kate is the love of his life – those were the deal breakers for me!

My mom reads my blog, as does my mother-in-law and grandmother…sometimes I wish I hadn’t told them, I have censored myself in a lot of ways because of that. I tried the separate no-family blog thing, but that didn’t work out so well.

Kristin–Believe me, some days I regret it, My kids don’t know about it, but the other day my son did see the photograph of our Pokemon puzzle and I think he was starting to put two and two together (to get seven, probably)

Lemonologie–I’m sure that my father will eventually lose interest. Fingers crossed!

Kristine–I can definitely understand the censorship. But hey, they read at their own risk, right? Maybe we should post warning signs!
