Nice Job, Mom

by Marinka on August 14, 2010

So you may have heard that one of The Mouthy Housewives party sponsors, 8th Continent Soymilk is celebrating the less-than-perfect moments of motherhood and having a Nice Job, Mom contest.  This is one of those contests that comes naturally to me.  All you do is submit their story, in written or video form (you can even record it right on their Facebook page!) and then the adoring public votes for you and viola!  You win a fabulous prize.  Every month, now through October, you can win a room makeover, and the grand prize is a fabulous trip–somewhere like Costa Rica.  I’m packing already!

Here is my submission.  Enjoy, and then hop on over to Nice Job, Mom and submit your own!

I think you are a genius. And I also think that ice cream is the answer for everything. I smell a blue ribbon for this one…

I can’t stop laughing. I might have peed a bit, too. Particularly love the cameo appearance by the not-Sundance cat and your reaction. You’re a goddess.

You’re a great mom, Marinka. I’m sure that Sundance, after watching this video on his laptop, thinks you are a great mom, too, and thanks you for not adopting him. 😉

So you hate the mentally challenged?

This is going to cause backlash.

We had our own “Sundance” I think his name was Dusty. Never made it out of the shelter.

And dammit if we didnt end up with BOGO kittens.

Thank god times have changed and they tell you now. When we were growing up in the 60’s, we’d find out about the brain damage the hard way: after we got home.

Cannot erase the memories to this day.

This is a fantastic post! Only problem is I don’t see how I can vote for you. I want you to win! In honor of Sundance, of course.
