I’m a bit behind on filling you on about what’s been going on around here, but long version short: I’m no longer allowed to blog about my daughter. My legal team has filed an appeal, obviously, but I don’t feel comfortable discussing the issue while the matter is sub judice. That means under judice, by the way.
So I’m laying off blogging about my daughter, except last week when I was complaining about my computer being so slow, she said “Computer are like turtles. They are slow. And then they are really slow. And then they die.” And I said “hey, did you just make that up?” And she said, “No. I made that up last year.” And then I asked her for Special Permission Without Prejudice (that means before judice, by the way) to use it on my blog, and she said it was ok, so whew that I get to share that tidbit with you.
Let’s savor it, because I don’t know when I’ll get another one.

Have you tried pleading
“You are not the boss of me!”?
Scalia buys it.
I think you should cut her off from the vast fortune you earn from your blog.
ah yes. this is a problem. my 11 year old daughter doesn’t even know i have a blog. my 14 year old son knows, but it has never occurred to him that i ever mention him in it. someday they will find out, so i’ve tried to be very careful about protecting their privacy. i started to write about tween bra shopping recently and realized i was way out of the gray area of “is this ok?” So i ended up writing about my own bras instead. for every tween conundrum, there must be a 40-something parallel, right? meanwhile, i think you’re on the right track. she’ll surely approve of anything that makes her look clever!
maybe just give her a new name like “eyeroller.” That is what I would call my teen daughter if I blogged:)
eyeroller would fit almost every teen
