We Weekly Chat

by Marinka on March 25, 2011

Welcome to We Weekly Chat.

This week I’m sad.

I’m sad because my beloved US Weekly (affiliate link) is acting like an asshole and putting Teen Mom on the cover. Look, I love reality shows, but in what universe is Teen Mom a celebrity? It’s like having Toddlers & Tiaras girls posing for the cover.

If you’d like to read my award-winning take on all the rags covers this week, please visit me at MamaPop.

Ok! Back to work.

This week’s US Weekly delivers, despite its dud of a cover. Because not only do we have our weekly photo of pregnant Kate Hudson, but we have our weekly torn photo to symbolize a celebrity breakup!

Other things that we must take note of:

* Kate Middleton’s see-through dress sold for $125,000.

* Celebrities who at some point hated their hair include Casey Mulligan, Kate Gosselin, Jennifer Ansiton and probably every other women in the history of the universe.

* Sandra Bullock donated $1 million to the American Red Cross relief efforts in Japan. I’m sure that her ex- Jesse James will match her donation with a million tattoos.

* 25 Things You Didn’t Know About Britney Spears: Her favorite ice cream is orange sherbet. Apparently Not Knowing That Sherbet Isn’t Ice Cream leads Britney’s list of Things She Did Not Know.

Also, Britney enjoys cooking spaghetti. I think this is a fancy way of saying that she likes to boil water.

* Stars are Just Like Us because they wear workout gear (Taylor Swift), take pictures of their kids (Halle Berry) and eat pretzels (Annalynne McCord). By my count, these stars are practically me.

* Did we know that there’s going to be a new Charlie’s Angels series? And that Colin Farrell now looks like Bosley?(As far as I know, he’s not affiliated with the show. Or with Bosley.)

*Kan’t Miss Kardashian Moment: Kourtney’s ab workout. Well, not the workout itself, but her statement that when she was breastfeeding “anything I ate just got sucked out!” You’re welcome for that. And someone who saw her workout on the beach with her trainer, provided the helpful scoop that the trainer would demonstrate a move and then Kourtney would copy it.

What do you think?

Any celeb news catch your eye?

(and if you want that fancy shmancy button, drop me an email and I’ll rush one over to you!)

Hmm. I saw Limitless! Nothing really to do with US Weekly this week, but boy, do I want that drug. Also, if you squint at certain points of the movie, Bradley Cooper totally looks like Jake Gylenhaal. You’re welcome.

Also, I want to see Arthur. And this new movie called Hanna looks AH-MAZ-ING.

I did know about the Charlie’s Angels series reboot. My cousin is producing/writing it. My claim to fame (that hasn’t paid any dividends by the way)

I really like you and want to be friends.
Let’s meet each others’ cousins.

I don’t have any.

Your turn.

8 pages of the stupid Teen Mom wedding? I think they’ve finally pushed me too far.

Roxanne March 25, 2011 at 4:47 pm

I always wear workout gear while taking pictures of my kid eating pretzels. I think Taylor, Halle, Annalynne and I are pretty much BFFs.

People used to know that my name started with a “C.” Now, thanks to Kourtney, they have to ask me. I hate that. And my hair.

I am just so relieved to understand how a trainer works. I had no idea.

Isn’t Rachel Bilson supposed to be a virgin and Hayden Christensen supposed to be gay? Or did I make that up?

Teen Mom is a scourge on society.

Wait! Kate Hudson’s pregnant?!

Thanks for the update. I let my subscription run out bc of the reality show covers. SO lame. I miss my Who Wore it Best Though.

“a million tatoos” – love it.

Teen Mom on the cover is bullshit. So is the spread inside the magazine.

And don’t bash boiling water. It’s a highly prized skill in my house.

As always, this was a wonderful, educational way to end the week. And I’m being sincere. In case you were wondering.

Wellll……since you did ask….I heard that that conniving manipulative slut Kate Middleton PURPOSELY chose that see through dress to wear in her friend’s fashion show because she had found out that DDG Prince William was going to be there.

When I found that out, I lost all respect for her.

Trueloveschmoolove. She played William like a violion. Like a violin, people.

DDG = what Lady Di used to call William, DDG, for drop dead gorgeous. Always brings a tear to my eye when I remember reading that..

Since it’s the last thing I’ve read here I think Alexandra might be a *tad* jealous of Kate landing William. Just sayin’.

As for me, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten through any tabloids like this, so thanks for the update. I did hear on Twitter that Reese got married yesterday. Or something. I think she was just over Jake Gyllenhall, right? They were together for a heartbeat. Sigh. Celebs and romance.

I always knew Halle Berry was my long lost twin

Lady Jennie March 30, 2011 at 4:33 pm

Oh yes when I was breastfeeding everything just got sucked right out too – right out into my poochy abdomen.
