Update!

by Marinka on June 8, 2010

Guess what?

I’m done with jury duty! And I sort of miss it already. I don’t understand why no one rises when I enter the room.

In other news, did you notice my new Reading bar at the top? It has great blog posts that I’m currently reading and enjoying. Although by the time that I list them there, they’ve already been read. Thanks, Caitlin for setting it up for me!

My friend Annie has a new blog about her battle with a rare cancer, GIST. I’ve been encouraging her to blog for years, because she’s an excellent and very funny writer and she finally bowed to my wisdom and did it. Please check it out.

And the fabulous iGo charger giveaway is still in full swing, so don’t forget to enter. I told Husbandrinka that everyone (so far) in the comments agreed with me and thought he was totally wrong because the batteries no longer have to be drained and new technology, blah blah and he said “oh, that makes sense.” WHAT? I expected to duel to the death on this issue, and just like that, he takes all the fun out of it. I don’t think that I can ever forgive him.

Finally, you know all those problems that you have? And you’re like, “Will I ever be happy?” and “I wish Marinka would tell me what to do so that I can be less like me and more like her!” Sound familiar? Well, great news! Just go here and post your question.

You are ridiculous. But in a good (and very funny) way.

Love your reading idea. So often I think – I need to post about how people should read “this”. But of course I never do… That could be a good solution for me – like a “best of” for my favorite sites. I’ll go check out your friends new blog.

I want to know what is going to happen next with Husbandrinka? Even though he has rolled over in a very unforgivable way on the charging issue, will he actually change his non-phone-charging ways so you don’t have to hear the beeping anymore?

Mr. Blognut leaves his phone in his pants pocket all the time and I often find myself waking in the middle of the night to that damn beeping noise – I end up crawling around in the dark feeling for his pants on the floor, (because where else would they be?), trying to find his phone and turn it off. Also? I’m planning to suffocate him if this happens again because you pointed out that I would be acquitted for it and I hadn’t thought of that.

My husband(rinka) is a phone-charging animal, so he was perplexed when I told him about your problem. I’ve arranged for him to meet with your fella and talk some sense into him.

On another note, are you going to the HP thing tonight? I want to meet you! I said ‘meet’ you, not ‘stalk’ you, so don’t get nervous.

I love my reading tab – that one page gets so many views each day and I try to add something great each morning. Yay.

Did you realize Husbandrinka shares important character traits with President Obama? He too, apparently, refuses to get angry when it is called for (I don’t believe simply stating “I am furious” is supposed to count).
You have a keeper there, Marinka. Although I wouldn’t tell Husbandrinka, he might get a big head 😉
