We Don’t Care About Casey Anthony

by Marinka on July 19, 2011

The other day I was sitting around, thinking about how I was so much better than other people. Oh, don’t get excited. I don’t mean First Responders or anything, but you know, regular people. Like you and me.

But that’s not important right now, I just felt like sharing. My blog, you know.

So I’m better than everyone else, except for First Responders and maybe Doctors Without Borders, and I like to spend my time reading TMZ. I hope you don’t have to ask me ridiculous questions like why? and what’s that? So I’m reading TMZ, and don’t judge, I’m sure that if First Responders weren’t busy rescuing people and if Doctors Without Borders weren’t busy looking for those borders, they’d totally be reading TMZ as well. It’s not my fault that I have a crippling selfish condition that prevents me from helping others.

Anyway. I’m reading TMZ about how mad everyone is at Casey Anthony, because although the jury acquitted her of murder, she got off on a technicality of being O.J. Simpson. I think. I didn’t follow the trial. But TMZ is going on and on how everyone is so sick of Casey Anthony and never wants to hear of her again, and to prove this point, they put an poll on their site. Just so that everyone can vote repeatedly to show how little they care about Casey Anthony.

Let’s take a look at the Casey Anthony menu!

I love how the options go from one’s anticipated reaction to seeing Casey Anthony on the street to a decision whether or not one would date her. I mean, wouldn’t that depend? Like if you were single or heterosexual or male?

I find the question is leading and I object.

But my favorite question is whether someone would ever watch her on the Today Show.  And you’ll notice that’s the only question that I exposed the answer to.  Because I don’t know a lot, but I do know that every single one of those 66% of 207,439 people who said that no, they would not watch Casey Anthony on the Today Show are totally lying.  It’s sort of a rule, I think, that if you answer an anonymous poll about someone online, the only reason  you’re not watching her on The Today Show is because you’re online at the bookstore picking up her book.

So did Casey Anthony get away with murder? I don’t know. I just said that I was the best person out there, not the smartest.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some more protest polls to vote in.

I would like to berate her and date her simultaneously. Because it rhymes and eventually, I could write a kickass break-up poem.

So which reality show do we vote for her to end up on?

I don’t watch daytime TV. There’s NO WAY i would watch her. or read her book. or date her actually.

She’s not my type. I can do away with my kids by myself.

I really hope that she fades away quickly. But I’m guessing that is just wishful thinking.

I would like to think that I would not watch her on The Today Show, but to be honest, I probably would. I’m weak like that.

I’m a fan of TMZ. You don’t even have to ask. But I think they need to work on their polling methodology. Because the response I would pick to all these questions is “don’t give a shit”.

She gives me the creeps and my brain gets all too befuddled when I hear the details of how her daughter was found, so I don’t watch or read anything about her/the case.
Except for this post.
Because, obviously, you’re better than most people so I need to see what you said about her. Duh.

I was in disbelief when I found she was found not guilty. I think the evidence was right there in front of us all. A mother who does not report her baby missing for over 31 days – and then, her MOM calls 911 to report the missing child? Guilty. A mom who lies for those 31 days saying her nanny had the child, while she was out partying every single night, living it up, when in fact there was NO nanny at all – completely made up – um, yeah, GUILTY. And if the child died by accident, like the defense claims? Why was there 3 pieces of duct tape on her mouth? Why was her body in the swamp? If your child dies by accident, you’re going to go throw the body in a swamp and put duct tape on the mouth for fun? She’s so guilty. And you know what happens now? Some victims group will pay for her university education, and buy her a house bigger than mine, and she’ll marry and have more kids and God I pray for those kids…

Sorry. I haven’t had a chance to blog about how much this case infuriates me!

I wouldn’t watch her. Unless she was on Regis & Kelly, I really like them. I will watch her lawyers new show, whenever it comes on. I’m sure it’s coming.

I am visiting my mother in Kissimmee which is right next to Orlando, where the Casey Anthony started. It is EVERYWHERE here. On every news channel, seemingly on every broadcast. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be rude, but I don’t care where she is. If she was found not guilty I can assume the prosecution did not do a good enough job proving her guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. To be honest I have not followed the case, or the trial, so I really don’t have an informed opinion. I just don’t care enough to be informed…….

Who’s Casey Anthony? (This is a deliberate ignorance, not a real one.)

I think the question should be, “Would you let Casey Anthony babysit your children?”

To which my answer is, “Only when he’s being particularly whiny and annoying.”

I don’t give a shit about Casey Anthony & didn’t follow the trial, but I bet someone RIGHT NOW is developing the tv movie based on her story. Starring LaurenAudrinaVanessaHeidi or some other indeterminate starlet. Realityette?

I followed your link to TMZ (because I would never know how to get there on my own) and saw that their image of Ms. Anthony was owned by Getty Images. As in The Getty Museum. So clearly there is some cultural value in all of this.

Glad I didn’t have to sit on her jury, and I’m not about to second-guess those who did.

You nailed it. I guarantee you if Casey Anthony appears on the Today Show, they’ll post their highest ratings in years.

I didn’t follow this case for one second.

That said, I am really interested in how many TMZ readers would date Nancy Grace.
