My In Laws are Here!

by Marinka on July 14, 2010

My in laws are visiting us for a few weeks and in contravention of all the rules of in-laws and blogging, they are refusing to provide me with fodder.

They’re taking care of the kids and cooking and cleaning and I’m not sure that I will ever forgive them.

But fortunately Husbandrinka has been picking up the slack.

Like when I told him that I enlisted in boot camp, he asked me if I thought that it was really age appropriate.

“What do you mean?” I asked.  Because perhaps he meant that I was way too young and beautiful to go to boot camp.

“Boot camp is for twenty year olds and you’re in your mid-forties,” he explained, tying the noose around his neck.

I can’t wait to get members of my platoon riled up against him.

You and Wendi need to make it a competition.

All I can say to that is if you have the bravery to go through boot camp at that age you are AWESOME. He shouldn’t make fun of you. He should be on his knees groveling because his wife CAN do boot camp. I would be worn out just filling out the forms.

major props to you for doing boot camp. i have friends, they are in their mid-thirties by the way Mr. Husbandrinka, and they write about their experiences on FB and i could never do anything like that. you are a warrior. i hope you stick with it and get the results you desire. i could never get up that early and do all those drills. take care and enjoy your visit.

omg…i signed up for that boot camp thing. it starts at 5:30 every morning, and it works. but you can’t even sit down to pee, you have to stand b/c of the pain in your torn up thighs from the lunges.

Just to encourage you, I am 46 and go to bootcamp almost every day. I will be the one in fatigues at BlogHer.

Well, I’ve never actually seen you, but I think you are way too young and beautiful for boot camp, too.
I can tell just by your writing.
I’m right….right?
